Departmental Library

The Department of Philology's Library is housed in a separate building and works in close collaboration with the University of Patras Library and Information Service (LIS). The library contains bibliographical resources (8000 specialised books, scientific journals, language dictionaries, etc.) which more than cover the study and research needs of teaching staff and their students.

The library offers students and teaching staff access to e-books and electronic journals (e.g. HEAL) to allow them to carry out and expand their research.

The library is staffed by specialists (librarian and administrator) who are responsible for classifying books, lending, helping library users, etc. The general operations of the library are supervised by the Library Committee, which consists of three members of the Teaching and Research Staff, one from each Section.
