Career Prospects

• Teaching Modern Greek Language and Literature: Graduates of Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies work mainly in secondary education, where they are in a position to teach all areas of Modern Greek Language and Literature. They can also teach the subject in private schools.

• Research centres: research work is available to those who continue their studies.

• Publishers, newspapers and magazines: as proof readers or editors, publishing consultants, materials consultants, text correctors and reference work editors..

• Translation and interpreting: as translators and interpreters (for those with knowledge of a second language who have completed a specialised translation programme).
