Doctorate Degree

Holders of a Master's Degree from a Greek university or from an equivalent officially recognised institution abroad are eligible to apply to study for a Doctorate Degree as part of the Postgraduate Programme of the Department of Philology.

Generally, a Doctorate Degree candidate should hold a Master's Degree in the same subject as the Doctorate Degree in which s/he is interested or in a related subject. In special cases, holders of Master's Degrees in another subject may also be accepted at the discretion of the General Assembly.

Selection of candidates from abroad

In addition to the documentation specified above, foreign students will be required to submit a language certificate to verify their knowledge of Greek. This also applies to foreign students studying on a scholarship.
